The Observer's Guide

During the years of 1987 to 1992, the amateur deep sky magazine The Observer's Guide was brought out bi-monthly by George R. Kepple and Glen W. Sanner. In this publication, amateur observations were published in the form of photos, drawings, and visual descriptions (eyepiece impressions), together with finder charts based on George's Astro Cards. Included were all Messier objects, most NGC and IC as well as many other deep sky objects. The issues each treated one or more, or part of one, constellation. An index is given below:

Most Northern constellations are covered in this survey (Leo Minor, LMi, is a notable exception). There are considerations to bring out this whole work as a book at some time in the future. Some of the issues are still available from George R. Kepple's Astro Cards.
