Milky Way Globular Clusters

This list contains all 147 Milky Way globular clusters known at the time of this writing (September, 2000). Most of the data were taken from William E. Harris.

Note: This list includes the four globulars which are probably genuine members of the Sagittarius Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy (SagDEG), namely, M 54, Arp 2, Terzan 7 and Terzan 8. One justification is that those will probably be incorporated in our Galaxy's halo after the disruption of the dwarf galaxy. So the number of known Milky Way globulars may by reduced to 143.
