M102 candidate NGC 5866, a lenticular or very early spiral galaxy seen almost exactly edge-on, as photographed by Tim Hunter and James McGaha with their 24-inch f/5 reflector and Apogee AP 7 CCD camera, at Grasslands Observatory. This image is a 3-color composite. Exposures with approximate times: Red (R) = 4 minutes, Green (V) = 4 minutes, and Blue (B) = 6 minutes.
M40 as photographed by Tim Hunter and James McGaha with their 12-inch Meade LX20 and Apogee KX260 CCD camera at 3towers Observatory. This is a simple b/w CCD image.
Wayne Johnson of the Orange County Astronomers (OCA) obtained this CCD image of M102 candidate NGC 5866 with the 22-inch Kuhn Telescope and OCA CCD camera. This is a 60-second image, 15 Jul 1996 at 06:49 UT.

Jan Wisniewski's image of M102 candidate NGC 5866. This image was taken on March 21, 1999 from Sooke, BC using Cookbook 245 LDC CCD camera on Ultima 8 f6.3 telescope, autoguided with Cookbook 211 LDC CCD camera on piggybacked 500mm f8 telephoto lens. It is composed of W (4 x 4 min.) integrations processed with Multi245, AIP245, as well as PhotoPaint 8.
Jack Schmidling obtained this image of M102 candidate NGC 5866 as a 20 minute exposure with the MX5 CCD camera through his 16" Newtonian telescope. It was his Photo of the Week around March 5, 2001.
