Most of above images of de Mairan's Nebula M43 are parts of larger images of the Great Orion Nebula. Some of them were extracted, and in some cases a bit post-processed, by Hartmut Frommert.

AAT image of the M43 (and NGC 1973-5-7) region. The northern part of M43 is in the middle of the bottom.
